Mokwana made a name for himself in the lower tiers of South African football, namely in the National First Division with Platinum City Rovers. After creating a buzz with Rovers during the 2021/22 campaign, Mokwana was signed by Sekhukhune United, who at the time, acquired some of the best talents in South African football. As he established himself among the best right-wingers in the PSL, Mokwana’s career took a massive upward trajectory in 2024. His direct, incisive running in the final third eventually caught the eye of Bafana coach Hugo Broos. After being called-up to the national team, Mokwana made his debut against Algeria in March 2024. While Mokwana attracted interest from major clubs in South Africa, the talented winger settled for a move abroad and signed for Tunisian giants Esperance in August 2024.
