Despite losing to Angola in the recent COSAFA Cup final, Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana B striker Boitumelo Radiopane gave a good account of himself during the tournament.

Largely considered to be one of the best up and coming players in South Africa, Radiopane is slowly making a name for himself, whether it be at club level or with the national team.

As one of the stars of the COSAFA Cup, Radiopane was at his best during South Africa’s 3-1 win against Comoros in the semi-finals after the Bucs starlet got his name on the scoresheet at the Free State Stadium last Friday.

Prior to the game against Comoros, Radiopane urged his fellow attackers to be more clinical in the final third by saying, “All I can say regarding our decision-making in front of the goals is we need to be calm and not be selfish. If I’m not in a good position to score, I have to give it to the next player who is in the better position and to win the game for us.”

Nonetheless, South Africa faced Angola in the COSAFA Cup final on Sunday and suffered a 3-0 defeat at the Free State Stadium. Despite the defeat, Radiopane was once again one of the best players on the pitch for Bafana as he managed to clock in 90 minutes of football on the day.
