Sibisi thanks Broos amid constant criticism
Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana defender Nkosinathi Sibisi has expressed his gratitude toward coach Hugo Broos after being entrusted with the armband for South Africa’s upcoming international friendly against Mozambique.
Following Bafana’s recent 0-0 draw with Tanzania, Broos and his charges will now shift their attention to Mozambique with their tie set to commence at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday night.
Sibisi, who has been a regular for Broos during the last couple of years, has thus thanked the Belgian mentor for showcasing full trust in his abilities, especially during testing times.
“It’s a privilege and an honour for me,” Sibisi said, as per IOL.
“I’d like to thank the coach for showing confidence in me. We have been together since the very first camp he started.
“There were question marks at times whenever I was here. So, to be able to lead the team tomorrow (tonight) will be a huge honour for me.”
